EMDR can help with healing.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one therapeutic strategy we use to treat trauma. This therapy repeatedly stimulates eye movements to activate opposite sides of the brain. This activation helps the brain reprocess the trapped memories in such a way that can allow it to return to normal functioning.
Sound weird? Well, it is, in a way. But EMDR has been extensively researched and proven effective in treating trauma and helping your brain process painful experiences.
